description
13' (4 metre) custom built river dory, constructed of 1/4" (6mm) 5 ply keruing marine playwood, which meets British Standard 1088 (similar to honduran mahogany), white ash frames, mahogany grated sole, gunwales of mahogany. Transom is curved and raked aft and laminated from three thicknesses of 1/4" ply. All plywood end grain is capped.
All timbers are coated with three coats of epoxy resin prior to four coats of spar varnish. Below the waterline has been finished with two layers of DB120 (double bias) glass cloth, covered with a 6 oz woven roving (boat cloth).
All fastenings are stainless steel and West System glue was used throughout.
The dory come complete with trailer, custom fitted 'Sunbrella' cover and bronze oar locks.

The trailer was made custom for the boat. Design and all work by Pete Wallis. He is a Professional Yacht builder in New Zealand.
