Looking for a good home that will appreciate my Mansfield Canoe. Made in Stowe VT, ca. 1970. Wood (oak and mahogany) and fiberglass, with green gelcoat. All original. Thirteen feet, with 38.5” beam. Serial number SWE34528M8IH Approximately 65 pounds.
Canoe had one family owner, has been well-maintained, and stored inside when not on the water. It is very stable: perfect for family recreation or fishing. It is designed for flat water (lake or slow river), with a full length, one-inch keel.
Condition is very good, wood in excellent shape. Decades of use has resulted in some wear and tear. A small puncture in the bow was professionally repaired by Northwest Canoe in 2002. The repair is invisible. The woodwork was restored and gelcoat was just repaired and buffed in 2024, although some surface scratches remain.
Pick up in St. Louis Mo. Delivery for some Midwest locations can be negotiated.
