These watercolor outboards were painted by artist (and lifelong boat nerd) Bobby Nachos—real name Robert Hawkins. Each one is based on a used aluminum outboard he found on Facebook Marketplace, most of them from Minnesota, all of them full of character.
We’ll be releasing the Outboard Originals one at a time over the coming weeks and months. If you recognize a motor, or actually owned one we’d love to hear the story (photos welcome).
