Squirt boating: like kayaking, but with more sinking...

Ever heard of squirt boating? No? You’re not alone…
Instead of charging rapids in a big, floaty kayak, squirt boaters hop into absurdly low-volume boats that are just buoyant enough to keep them on the surface—most of the time. The real trick isn’t paddling forward, it’s slipping under the surface to pull off “mystery moves” in the river’s hidden world: underwater spins, cartwheels, pirouettes, and vanishing acts that make spectators wonder if they should start dialing 911.
Paddling Magazine just reported on the new world record holder—check out the article and video. Still confused? Yeah… us too. But honestly, we’d probably still give it a go.
