The Malecite canoe was designed by Mad River co-founder, Jim Henry. The shallow “V” hull provides excellent stability and efficiency in both flat water and rapids. At approximately 50 pounds it is easy for 1 person to portage. Never stored exposed to the weather. Gunnels refinished 2 years ago. This model was discontinued in 2019/20.
