This is a completely refurbished, like-new 2004 Maverick HPX 17 Kevlar skiff, taken down to a true hull-only rebuild and reassembled with modern, top-tier components throughout. Every detail was carefully selected with performance, durability, and aesthetics in mind.
The skiff features new SeaDek surfaces throughout, including black-out casting and poling platforms with ultra-comfort padding. A new HPX console (18’ Maverick spec) accommodates a 12” Garmin GPSMAP 8612XSV, supported by all-new wiring, LED lighting, and a Yamaha 6YC information station.
Subtle custom touches elevate this build well beyond stock, including SeaDek-lined interior gunnels with embossed tarpon and bonefish artwork, custom carbon-fiber rod holders, carbon-fiber transition plates for V-Marine push-pole holders, and a carbon-fiber console horn cover. A 12’ Carbon Marine push pole completes the setup.
Power comes from a Yamaha VF115 SHO with low hours, paired with new Odyssey batteries and a NOCO charger supporting a Minn Kota RT Ulterra trolling motor with i-Pilot remote. The hull and hatches have been professionally finished in Awlcraft 2000 Ice Blue, complemented by a TACO rigid vinyl rub rail with stainless-steel insert.
This skiff is fully dialed for serious tarpon, permit, and bonefish anglers. It’s exceptionally quiet on the water, poles effortlessly, spins with ease, and remains one of the best-riding skiffs in ocean-side chop. No expense was spared in creating what is truly a turn-key, top-of-the-line flats and nearshore skiff.
